Bithday lion

Hi all,

It was my birthday last Friday (21 again  ) and my wonderful hubby surprised me with a long weekend at a 5* hotel. It was pure bliss, valet parking, room service the lot, not what I've been used to but I can't wait to try it again !

I can recommend the Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh, very posh but very friendly staff. We also went to the theatre and for fancy meals, but I must admit even though the food was good, I probably would have enjoyed a KFC as much for a fraction of the price. (I've just nae cless :? )

Well I'm back down to earth now and I'd better go and do some ironing  .

Hi all,

Just a quick blog today, I'm feeling ill :( . I know you're all thinking hangover and it does in fact feel like one but since I have not had any drink, it's not.

I have been ill in bed all day, woke up and was bored so I thought I'd go on the computer. Bad mistake I think, so now I'm back off to bed.

Hopefully I'll feel better next time.

Elly :(

Hi all,

It was great to get a comment, it's nice to know other people are interested .

Well, what a weekend I've had, my two nieces have both come down with the dreaded chickenpox and my unfortunate sister has hurt her back (playing on the climbing frames at Noah's Arc !).

As hubby's away at Pourtsmouth working, I offered to go down and help for the weekend. I went down on the train and was met at the station by my mum, sister and two little spotty angels. The spottified ones beeing kept well clear of everyone else.

So my weekend was spent keeping two little people happy when their mum got some rest, not an easy task. I've been playing houses, shops, chasing, hide & seek, even trying to teach them yoga. They're great at it, I wish I could get into the postures as easy as them :) .

Exhausting work, no wonder Carolines alot slimmer than me, running after those two all day would keep anyone fit. To end the weekend though, any calories I had burned off were soon put back on as when I got home on Sunday night I was too exhausted to make tea so a MacDonalds it was.

Anyway I'm off now to do some studying that should have been done this weekend.

Bye for now.

Elly :)

Another busy day in the lions den !

Hi all,

I'm back again, just thought I'd tell you about yesterday. My mum, sister and my 2 nieces came to visit and I'm still recovering. I love the 2 little rascals to bits but for good girls they are exhausting, how my sister copes I'll never know.

Robyn is 3 1/2 and Jodie 1 1/2, going shopping with them and two prams is an experience. I take my hat off to all the mums out there, you all deserve a medal.

Robyn is such a little girl now, phoning me up to tell me stories and what she's been doing at nursery. Where as Jodies just getting to the terrible two's stage and is into everything !

Well I'm off for a coffee now.

Ta ta for now.

Elly

Into the lions den

Hi All,

This is my first blog but hopefully not my last ! I have just found out about blogging thru my OU course, I have to research this and live chat rooms.

Well here's an insight into my den, sorry if it's boring but thats my life :)

Here I am a happy homemaker who is about to turn 39, when both my husband and my best friend decide I need to broaden my horizons. So what happens ? I end up enrolled on 3 courses, how daft am I.

I am doing an OU course on computing (the reason you are having to suffer reading this), a speach therapy course and a depression management course (which is going to be very handy I think).

So now my days are spent studying, instead of going to the gym, (I'm not sure which is worse  ). My husband who is an OU veteran says this is an easy course but since I'm no Einstein I beg to disagree.

Well I think I've bored everyone enough for now, next time I'll think of something interesting to talk about.

Ta ta for now.

Elly
